The customers, a young couple, dreamed of a cozy house, but did not fully understand how exactly it should look. When I first entered the apartment and saw the roofs of the houses from the window, I asked the owners how they felt about France. Then the idea had already appeared in my head to create a light atmosphere of Paris, to fill the interior with details, linen and art. The customer picked up my idea, told me about her love for France and showed me photos from the trip. This is how the history of this project began.

Initially it was a studio with an area of 40 sq.m. We really wanted to separate the bedroom, but since there are only two windows in the apartment, instead of a blank wall, we installed a glass partition. To make the space more intimate, the partition was closed with thick curtains to match the walls.

In the living room, a TV was a prerequisite. To make the black rectangle of the screen not stand out much, we hung pictures behind it. All the works that decorated the interior were written by the artist Katya Lisich. Arriving at the workshop, Anya, the customer, and I went through the stacks of sketches for a long time. At some point, Anya took out the portrait, froze for a second and asked: "Is that me?". We looked at the work — the girl in the picture really strongly resembled the customer, although the artist then saw her for the first time. This portrait now hangs at the entrance to the bedroom and perfectly matches the green headboard of the bed, which is visible from the dining area.

We gave the dining room a slight carelessness due to different furniture. Instead of identical chairs, a sofa in a fabric with a "crow's foot" pattern, a low pink armchair and an unusually shaped chair are located at the table. The look of our "Paris cafe" is completed by black elements in the form of a large wall clock and a magnificent lady who swings on the ledge.

Another important detail in the apartment was a table lamp that decorated the chest of drawers in the living room. On the very first day at the facility, when we decided that we would create a French vibe, I sent the customer a link to the lamp with the words "You need to buy it." Then there were no collages, no understanding of what would happen, but I already knew for sure that this lamp would fit perfectly into the interior. It looked very distinctive, as if its base had just come off a potter's wheel, and the lampshade reminded me of a skirt from a vintage Chanel dress.

The customers completely trusted me and did not step back from the project. Every item, be it a teapot, a vase or plates, was chosen specifically for this apartment. We did not additionally carry the decor for filming and were able to capture the real life of the owners on the frames.
