This apartment was designed by designer Tatiana Balaboshina at the request of parents for their daughter, who dreams of becoming an actress and this year enters GITIS. The family does not live in Moscow, but decided to support the girl in her aspirations: the gift was made the day before the new year, when they arrived together for the New Year holidays in the capital.

Initially, the apartment was a standard "shirt". By changing the configuration of the entrance area and combining two rooms, it turned out to create a spacious kitchen-living room, where there is everything you need to relax and receive guests.

Another feature of the layout is the enfilade system of portals. "I use this technique in almost every project. So the space becomes more complex, and the area visually expands," says Tatiana.

An unusual TV zone became the center of the apartment. "This is an incredibly difficult element to perform," the designer emphasizes. — The base is made of drywall on a metal frame. The facade is decorated with porcelain stoneware with a marble pattern, and the frame is made of metal. The niche for the TV is also made of metal and turns into a fireplace with candles. The candles themselves are LED and turn on using the remote control."

The designer paid the main attention to the stucco plaster decor. The interior concept implies a single color and material of moldings, finishing portals and openings. All decorative elements are made of gypsum, and each was designed specifically for this project. Another feature of the interior is the illumination in the floor. It emphasizes the architecture of portals and the wood texture of veneered panels.

A separate mention should also be made of the dressing room attached to the master bedroom. It is located within the room, but at the same time it seems to be a separate room. Due to the large transparent glass, there is enough daylight in it, which is so necessary when applying makeup or trying on clothes. The bathroom, despite its small size, contains three zones, where there is a bathroom for rest and relaxation, and a comfortable shower room.

"Despite all the conciseness of the project, it was very difficult to execute — not only because of the technical solutions themselves, but also the pandemic period during which the work took place," says Tatiana. — Many local production facilities were closed, someone was ruined. At some point, it seemed to me that the construction could be delayed for another year, but thanks to the team's cohesion, we were able to complete the project on time."
