We collected ideas on how to add a festive mood to the interior, but not overload it with too colorful decorations.

1 Composition with a candle

A large wax candle in a flask with a fir branch looks great where there is no room for large-scale New Year decorations. All the necessary festive associations are already in this composition. If you are afraid of an open fire, you can put an artificial LED analog or choose a garland in a jar. For a natural wax candle, choose a thematic fragrance: for example, citrus, spices or pine needles. This will help to enhance the feeling of celebration.

2 Mini Christmas tree on a stand

For such decoration, both one tree and several miniature ones, gathered together like a forest edge, are suitable. A mini Christmas tree can be placed on a windowsill, table, bedside table or console, in general, in any place where a full-size tree, even a dwarf tree, will not fit. This decoration looks great without decor, but if you want, you can add a few small toys or a laconic LED garland.  

3 One big Christmas tree

To create a festive mood in the room, one bright element is enough for this role, a full-fledged Christmas tree is perfect. Install it in the corner, dress up with laconic toys, if desired, hang a plain garland and no longer add any decor to the interior. The Christmas tree will perfectly cope with the task of creating the right atmosphere, and the space will not be overloaded with colorful decorations.

4 Pair of Christmas pillows

A quick and easy way to add festive notes to the familiar interior of a pillow with a thematic print. They can be without a pattern, but then bet on the "New Year" colors: green, red, golden. Just a couple of such pillows will already create a suitable mood, and if necessary, they can be quickly replaced with others. 

5 Wreath

You can beautifully decorate the headboard with one or a pair of Christmas wreaths. At the same time, they can be completely different: spruce, fabric, cones or balls. If there are several of them, choose those that are well combined with each other. Is one of the products bright and active? Then it is better to choose the second in a more concise design: for example, just spruce paws without ornaments. Wreaths can be bought in the store or made with your own hands, maintaining the style you need.

6 Spruce garland

A spruce garland will help to decorate a doorway or a floor mirror beautifully, but not pretentiously. It can be natural, made of branches, or artificial made of plastic. Both the one and the other option will look beautiful. Moreover, such a garland can be left without decorations at all: so it will look as natural and concise as possible. Just the sight of pine needles in the interior will already create the right feeling of the upcoming holidays, and the aroma, if the branches are real, will only strengthen it.  

7 Interior bouquet

To add natural aesthetics to the interior, put several branches of fir lapnik, fern, tea tree in a transparent glass vase. You can also take a traditional spruce or pine. 1-2 Christmas tree toys will add a little parade to such decoration, but no more. After all, the main attention should be focused on the textures, shades and natural beauty of the twigs. 

8 A tray with Christmas tree toys

An original way to use unnecessary Christmas tree toys is to pour them on a large dish or tray and decorate any table or chest of drawers in the apartment. Toys can be mixed with cones or small twigs, and also add an LED garland to the composition. It will turn out a very beautiful, bright and simple decoration, which will be quite enough for a minimalistic room decor.
