A new boutique of the cosmetics brand Glossier has opened near the Boston harbor. Its interiors were decorated with mirrors and decorative stucco, painted in pale pink and mint colors

When designing the boutique, the Glossier creative team took as a basis the local architecture and the status of Boston as a student center. "By creating this boutique, we wanted to bring something special to the city, reflecting its history and scientific character. The appearance of the interiors was influenced by student fashion and decorative features of Boston architecture," the designers say.

For inspiration, the designers turned to the "pink plaster, green stone and lush vegetation" of the nearby Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, built on the model of a Venetian palazzo. The walls of the boutique were covered with the trademark pink shade of Glossier cosmetics, and the windows and portals were framed with stylized versions of historical stucco found on neighboring buildings.

Mirrors on the walls are arranged in such a way as to multiply reflections and create the illusion of infinity. The products are displayed on corrugated countertops, rounded display cases and cosmetic tables, which can be found in many Glossier stores. Light wood floors complement the soft pastel palette.

On the street side, tall windows and brass doors were complemented with marble panels and bronze details that work in contrast with the pastel shades inside.
