Leyla Bagirova designed an apartment for young customers who asked to make the interior calm and not too dynamic, because there are too many dynamics in their lives

GENERAL PARAMETERSProperty type: apartment-new building
Where is located: Moscow, Shelepikhinskaya embankment, residential complex "Heart of the Capital"
Square footage: 68 sq.m
Style: modern
The main idea of the project: a concise and functional space for an energetic young couple
Color scheme: warm gray, graphite, black and white, "warm" wooden textures
The author of the project: designer Leila Bagirova, design.by.bagirova@gmail.com , T. +7 (921) 912-01-88
The owners of the apartment, an energetic young couple, immediately warned that they needed a not too dynamic design. Since they work a lot, it is important for them that the home space is calm, not tiring the eyes and functional — they wanted there to be nothing superfluous in the apartment.

Designer Leila Bagirova divided the apartment into two blocks: private (bedroom with bathroom, dressing room and study) and public (with an open space combining the kitchen, living room and hall areas). The unification takes place due to the same finish, the absence of partitions and extra furniture. All storage systems are built-in and visually are a continuation of the walls.

Since the apartment owners are very busy people, it was important for them to be in a space that does not tire the eye

In order to save the space from unnecessary "noise", the designer deliberately abandoned the variety of finishing materials; for the same reason, there are no color spots and flashy furniture upholstery in the project. The colors are strict, clean — white, gray, graphite, diluted with the warm color of light wood.

Rejecting redundant details and decor, Leila allowed only books to "live" in a laconic interior — a shelf in the living room was designed for them, in which there was room for new acquisitions — and author's ceramics.
Color is present only in works of modern art — the works of the artist Rahim El. In the one that decorates the wall of the kitchen-living room, Leila sees two friends ready to jump into the abyss. "She leaves a subtle feeling of youth, fearlessness and at the same time trust in the unknown. I wanted to bring this feeling to the project as well," she shares.

The most dynamic, accentuated room in the project is the study. A carpet with a graphic ornament creates a sense of movement, three dimensional suspensions with paper lampshades make the room very cozy and soften the carpet graphics.

The customers asked to make the office more energetic in mood, so that they could relax comfortably in it, sitting with a book on a podium–a couch overlooking the City, and work at a desk (more precisely, rather a computer) desk.

But the bedroom turned out to be as calm and neutral as possible. There is nothing annoying or distracting from rest and sleep. The main decoration is a panoramic view of Moscow, opening from a large full—length window.

At the request of the landlady, the bathroom and the guest bathroom were made different in mood: the bathroom turned out to be more "masculine", laconic and contrasting, the bathroom was softer and more atmospheric.
