The project included the reconstruction of a typical two-room apartment in a 1956 house. The architect Anastasia Pridachina needed not only to make it comfortable for life, but also to give the space its own unique character that would reflect the personality of the hostess.
"My client is a unique person. Being a serious specialist in the field where letters and numbers rule the ball, she turned to me with a single request — to create a rhapsody," Anastasia says. — Delving into her philosophy, aimed at a love of nature and folk songs at a large family table, I was turned by a whirlpool of images and colors, from which the song about muted comfort and a bit of bold bohemian carelessness was woven."

The apartment was empty for a long time, so the first thing the designer decided to demolish the partitions in order to understand the full potential of the space. The bizarre play of the first rays of the sun opened to the eye, which it was important to preserve. So the idea to make a suite appeared: in the center of the apartment there was a zone for relaxation and communication, and on both sides of it there were bedrooms hidden behind glass doors.

The main character of the interior was the color. To the neutral beige base, the designer added a shade of vergine and berry tones. "It was decided to raise shades of green to the ceiling and friezes in the kitchen-living room, imitating endless absorbing matter, while fruit colors were taken to the most private corners to create an enveloping atmosphere."

The bed is the property of the hostess.

The whole apartment is filled with pieces of furniture and decor found in vintage stores and brought from different cities and countries. For example, the mirror decorating the hallway was bought at a flea market in the Netherlands, the curtains in one of the bedrooms came from Vilnius, and the designer saved Soviet suitcases that replace the coffee table in the living room from the landfill. "I noticed these suitcases in a St. Petersburg apartment that was put up for sale. They turned out to contain lost letters that the landlady's father sent from the front."

The partitions are made to order according to individual sketches. Bed, Divanta. Wall lamps, Favorite. Bedside table, Eforma. The canvas and painting of the friezes were made by the author of the project.

The customer was categorically opposed to the utilitarianism of the bathroom area. She wanted to fill the room with the spirit of idleness. In practice, she turned into a separate world in an apartment with her own stories.
"One of the main accents in the room was a fancy lithograph from the German botanical encyclopedia. I came across it quite by accident, and I was fascinated by the amazing similarity of Passepartout with the color of the bathroom walls. A day later, on two cars, the picture reached us. And already on the spot I saw a small detail: an old carved wooden frame was painted with a green patina of the shade of our ceiling. All the cards have come together."
