The owner of the apartment is contacting us for the second time: we have previously issued an apartment for him in Moscow. The customer asked to create an interior for rent with everything necessary for life. The budget was quite modest — 3,250,000 rubles for everything from finishing materials to dishes and bed linen. We jointly decided that the Scandinavian style would be a win-win option for this task.

The original layout included two living rooms. In most of them there is a living room and a sleeping area. We made a wide opening with sliding doors into the adjacent kitchen. This helped to visually unite the space and let more light into the corridor. A separate block has a children's room with a view of the courtyard. In the corridor, without violating the geometry of the room, it was possible to place a mini-row behind the furniture facades and an additional wardrobe.

In order to save money, we abandoned the ceiling cornice. Instead, they left a white line at the top of the walls around the perimeter of the apartment. By the way, this technique is often used by Scandinavians. So the ceiling seems higher, and it was easier for us to install built-in furniture in niches. We immediately decided to use IKEA storage systems and at the planning stage we took into account the dimensions of the furniture modules. For example, we have calculated in advance the dimensions of the sleeping area with a bed and cabinets located above it.

In the kitchen, we did not occupy the entire wall with cabinets and designed a console shelf on which in the future it will be possible to put a microwave or decorative items. There is a compact dining area near the window, and next to it there is a sconce on a bracket, the light from which can be directed to the table.

The bathroom was executed in the best traditions of Scandinavian interiors: white tiles with contrasting dark seams. In order to save money, only part of the wall was tiled and the layout was completed with black ceramic edging. In the guest bathroom, we also used glossy white tiles, but in combination with a delicate green shade.
