"The owners of the apartment are a married couple with a school—age child. They recently moved to St. Petersburg for work. The customers wanted a calm Scandinavian interior, in which they could bring new details and accents," says designer Nikita Zub.

"The original layout did not suit the new owners of the apartment. The former residents combined a kitchen equipped with a gas stove with a living room, dividing the premises with a drywall partition — all in the best design traditions of the 1990s. Today, such a decision is considered illegal, so we isolated the kitchen area and added a second bathroom at the expense of the corridor."

The kitchen is custom-made in the Cube furniture studio. On the apron — ceramic tile, Equipe. Spots, Ledmonster.

"The main character of the project is a kitchen with plywood facades. It became the starting point in the creation of the entire interior. We decided to install large glass doors between the living room and the kitchen so that guests sitting on the sofa could enjoy the view of the dining area."

"The bedroom is located in a corner room. There is a battery on the wall where we wanted to put the bed. We hid it in a box lined with clapboard, and added a wooden frame as a decorative element."

"We have divided the children's room into zones for studying, music and sleeping. The space was delimited by a bookcase: it gives the bedroom comfort and, at the same time, does not create obstacles to sunlight."

On the floor — ceramic tile Scale, Equipe. The furniture is made in the Cube furniture studio. Tolomeo sconce, Artemide.
