Before that, they lived on the ground floor of the same house for a whole year and watched with envy throughout the pandemic how the happy owners of this large terrace go out for a walk, breathe fresh air and sunbathe when everyone around them is forced to sit on self-isolation. When the previous owners suddenly moved out, the couple, without a second's hesitation, moved into their apartment — and the coveted balcony finally became theirs.

However, the apartment was not in the best condition: to begin with, it was necessary to make a complete renovation inside, and only then Sofia took up the balcony, which, by the way, is a considerable area — as much as 18 square meters. meters. For her, it has become a natural extension of the apartment, especially in summer, the balcony door is always open wide. "Here I go out with my morning coffee, here Nils and I have lunch and dinner, and when guests come to us, there is no better place for parties and gatherings with a glass of wine," says Sofia.

In the design of the balcony, she used fashionable natural shades and bright accents: gray boards on the floor, orange-gold furniture, brown reeds in the decoration of the balcony railings are complemented by bright ceramics, striped carpets and a large number of living plants.

Not only adults enjoy the urban idyll. Their eldest son, Walier, who is two, also likes to walk in the open air — in the summer Sofia and Nils organize a play area with a children's pool for him. He likes to help his mother take care of the plants, and he already has his own little watering can from which he waters the flowers. Their youngest daughter Inge, who is now six months old, sleeps here in the fresh air. The balcony became for this family what they dreamed of: a paradise among the big city.
