From the outside it is a laconic modernist house of the 1970s. And inside — a real extravaganza of color and modern design, created by creative owners

Director and head of the production company Casper Balslev (Casper Balslev) and costume designer Camilla Nordbjerg (Camilla Nordbjerg) have seen many different houses thanks to their work in the film industry. When they needed bigger housing a couple of years ago, they found a house northwest of Copenhagen, next to the Utterslev Mose Nature Park.
"We didn't even look at other options, we came to the viewing and immediately realized — this is it! This house immediately had a good energy, and although it was a little abandoned and needed a loving hand, we understood that this was a special place," recalls Kasper.

It used to be a yellow brick building, but the previous owners plastered the house a few years before the sale. Kasper and Camilla decided to keep this finish, only slightly changing the color of the walls: "We like light facades with dark details of the structure. This modern style suits a house built in the 1970s - the era of modernism."

The new owners did not radically change the layout, only made a new bathroom, and turned the front living room into a home theater, which the family uses almost every day. The rooms were partially redecorated — as far as they could — a new floor was laid on the terrace and a glass fence was installed.

Kasper and Camilla are looking forward to continuing the renovation in the remaining rooms, maintaining the atmosphere of the house: "We like the energy of modernism, the original style of the building itself and the objects of that era. We want to preserve this charm, including in future repairs."

A couple likes it when there are a lot of bright colors, unusual objects and details in the house — a little funny and imperfect. "Colors set the mood, so we don't have too many white walls and surfaces in our rooms. We both work with filmmaking every day, and we always try to add color, depth and texture to the scene. We probably unconsciously transferred this principle to our own home," laughs Kasper.
