As soon as the pandemic started, and everyone was put in their homes, I realized that I urgently needed a dacha. Fortunately, not all the land was snatched up in a wild rush, and after a long search we found a nice plot of 10 acres with gorgeous Christmas trees in the south of St. Petersburg. Then the question arose what to do with this good: the plot is, of course, good, but I want to spend the night, but there is nowhere. I had dreams of a huge house in my head, and there was only enough money for a barn. And then a spontaneous idea came up: what if we make a nano-house out of a regular construction shed? We needed a little imagination, a little creativity and a pinch of love, and the usual cabin turned into a cozy house with Swedish motifs.

To find a good cabin, I had to tinker a lot, because there are a lot of manufacturers, but the quality of products, most often, is nowhere worse. As a result, I found a company that not only collects houses like from Pinterest pictures, but was also ready to build a cabin according to my project. The choice of sizes of transported cabins is limited. Standard dimensions: 2.3 meters wide and 7 meters long, a total of 14 sq.m. of total area. With a lot of effort, I made a layout that is convenient for a summer residence of a family of three on 10 sq.m., the rest of the area went to the farm. the block and the veranda.
The cost of the cabin: 91 thousand rubles The cost of piles: 18 thousand rubles

ABOUT THE LAYOUTWhen designing the house, it was important for me to make a small veranda, where in the evening you can sit by the light of lanterns with a cup of fragrant tea, wrapped in a warm blanket, and relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. Another mandatory item is a utility block with a separate entrance, where shovels and tools will be stored. I basically didn't want to drag all this dirt into the house. There are only 10 sq.m. left on the living area, and everything you need and even more is placed on it: a kitchen, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a dining table, a two—story bed, a bedside table, and there is also a free place - you can put a cot for guests.

To save space, we made a two-story bed. Besides, the child liked her very much. I even remembered myself as a child, how I dreamed of the second tier. So I realized my childhood fantasies. Another feature of the interior is folding chairs and a table. Do I need to accommodate guests or free up a child's play area? No problem! In three minutes we fold the furniture and free up a large space in the center of the nano-house.

ABOUT THE INTERIOR I wanted to create a cozy and not expensive, but at the same time spectacular interior. A mix of scandi, boho and Danish hugge turned out to be the best solution for our nano—house. I painted the walls white, which serves as a backdrop for numerous decorations. The black and gray color blocks emphasize the kitchen and bedroom areas. We paid a lot of attention to the light: it should be muted and local. After all, it is in soft lighting that we feel comfortable.

The budget was modest, so we made some of the furniture with our own hands. Yes, yes, as they could, as they could, but by themselves. For example, the bed cost us 3,000 rubles and two days of work is our pride. The second floor turned out to be strong. He can withstand not only the child, but also the two of us. Everything is firmly fixed. We didn't stop there, then we assembled the kitchen and the closet. I bought a countertop in the nearest stroymarket and made it for a long time under the aged oak: mixed varnishes, did brushing. And instead of the lower facades, I hung a linen curtain. I borrowed this idea from the times of the USSR, about the same was done at my grandmother's dacha.

An old stool also fell under the distribution, I repainted it with spray paint, and made an ornament in the form of peas with a brush. So it turned into a bedside table. The rest of the furniture was bought at IKEA. The chest of drawers, the shelves in the kitchen, the chairs and the table are all from there. It is as budget-friendly as possible, easy to transport, and the design suits me completely. And most importantly, it's easy to assemble yourself, almost like a LEGO for adults.

ABOUT THE DECORIt is thanks to the little things that a feeling of comfort and warmth appears, so that the decor was given the most attention.
We mainly ordered items from H&M Home, IKEA and on the AliExpress website. Giving free rein to my imagination, I combined modern details and retro motifs. Sometimes I was afraid to overdo it, but an interior stylist helped me. The decor underwent strict face control: first by price, then by quality, then by style. And now I can say for sure — it is not necessary to have a large budget to make your home cozy, tested on yourself.
The total cost of decorative items: 25 thousand rublesBed linen, Ellie de niko.
