Turning a dark, well—worn apartment into housing for a couple of fashionistas is not an easy task, but designer Olga Mizrach has fulfilled it. Look what came out of it

A big plus of the kitchen-living room were the windows facing the park. They fill the rooms with air and light. Wooden slopes covered the space, gave warmth and texture.

The hosts are a young married couple, businessmen with an active lifestyle, connoisseurs of good design and good wine (the brief indicated a wine refrigerator), fashionistas who absolutely needed a spacious dressing room.

Despite the small area, the apartment managed to accommodate a full-fledged dressing room and even a wine cabinet.

The apartment was dark — like all apartments with low ceilings, which were built according to the calculations of Le Corbusier (Le Corbusier). The French architect believed that the height of 2.50 m is enough to live and work. The new owners bought it because of its location — Lefortovo is one of the old districts of Moscow, the historical layout of streets, parks, the embankment is nearby, and the center is not far away.

A wine cabinet with lighting is another wish of the owners of the house.

The basis of any project is a planning solution. "We combined a small kitchen with a living room," says Olga Mizrakh, "we made a large dressing room, the sliding doors of which open into the living room. Due to the light palette, it was possible to create a feeling of light and air."

Kitchen area. Table, Sovet Italia. Chairs, Calligaris. Chandelier, Odeon light. Apron, Kerama Marazzi. The kitchen, window sills and slopes are made to order by Melarossa. Ultrawood stucco, Orac decor. Quartz vinyl tile, Fargo.

"I suggested focusing on materials," Olga continues. — So, for the kitchen, we took a rather expressive texture of porcelain stoneware. "Smoked" veneer was added and diluted with a complex gray-blue-lilac color of the facades. It turned out an unusual combination that "lay down" on the background gray shade of the walls and light wood floors. We repeated the same "theme" in the design of the bathroom, using the same ceramic tiles as on the apron, and the same shades of enameled furniture facades."

In the bedroom, soft panels are used not only in the design of the wall at the headboard, but also in the design of the TV area. Vertical rhythms allowed us to break up the space, give it versatility.

"A characteristic feature of all my projects is the use of designer wallpaper," Olga emphasizes. — They are also present here. In the living room — wallpaper with a three-dimensional print in the form of large sheets of Arte, Monsoon collection. In the bedroom — American WallQest marble wallpaper, Luxe Revival collection".

The bedroom was extremely difficult to work with because of the low ceilings and small area. "To make a small space multifaceted, I have complicated the design of the walls due to vertical overlays in the form of soft panels alternating with wallpaper," explains the designer.

Many pieces of furniture were made according to the author's sketches: bed, bedside tables, wine cabinet, TV cabinet, kitchen, furniture in the bathroom and hallway. "All this was done in Krasnoyarsk, delivered to the facility and already installed there," Olga explains. — Live selection of materials, competent and subtle combination of them provided the desired result and effect." You really can't recognize the apartment: if you don't believe it, compare it yourself! Here's how it looked before the renovation:
