The house with an area of 218 square meters is located in the Moscow region in the Dmitrov direction. The owners, a family with a three—year-old daughter, turned to designer Veronika Sudnikova at the stage of buying a house. "Customers dreamed not of a country house, but of a cottage — certainly wooden, cozy, comfortable, warm," says the designer. — Quite specific wishes were related to the design of the bedroom for grandma and the presence of a fireplace, the rest was determined during the consideration of options for concepts, finishes, furniture and textiles. As a result, the style of this interior can be defined as modern, except for the bedroom on the first floor. This room turned out to be rather classic, such was the desire of the hostess's parents."

The owners bought a finished wooden house without finishing. "Since the layout of wooden houses is clearly defined, the only thing I could do was to expand or move the doorways a little," says Veronika Sudnikova. — Fortunately, we managed to enlarge the windows on the first floor. This made it possible to add volume to the premises and launch more light and nature into the house."

"The interior was created from scratch. During the formation of the project, there were no items that the owners would like to include in the interior, but at the final stage, two vintage chairs from the mid-60s appeared at the dacha. When I saw them, I was delighted! I asked them to bring all the chairs, picked up new upholstery for them and put the chairs in the dining room. I think they created the family history of the new house and became the highlight of the dining room."

"Textiles with luxurious ornaments became a striking element of the interior. As for the overall color palette, an almost black-and-white palette was chosen for the hall, living room and kitchen-dining room with a transition to gray and ivory shades. I used saturated walnut, slightly diluted yellow and aquamarine as accent colors."

"I wanted to avoid the yellow shade of natural wood and make the whole house light and a little cold," the designer continues. – A light gray color was taken as a basis, which looks warmer on yellow logs and gives a warm gray shade. As the main background is what you need. Oil impregnation for Sherwin Williams Wood Classic wood was used in the decoration of the first floor, Perma–Chink was used on the second floor."

"For me, the most important thing in any project is how the owners of the interior will feel," the designer concludes. — I create a habitat for specific individuals with their own character, tastes and lifestyle. And the greatest joy is to see their positive emotions and satisfaction with the result of the work done."
